A Magical Start to the Day: UNESCO Heritage in Goreme After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up at 09:30 for a fairy day trip that you will surely remember for the rest of your life. The tour begins with a visit to the Goreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site home to the world’s most significant Byzantine cave churches. As you listen to the stories of the thousand-year-old frescoes carved into the rocks, you will witness how time seems to have stood still.
On the Trails of History: Çavuşin Village & Monks Valley Our next stop will be the old Greek village of Çavuşin, famous for its massive rock-cut houses. Immediately after, we drive to Pasabagi, also known as "Monks Valley," where Christian hermits chose to locate their cells and churches within these iconic three-headed fairy chimneys. This unique encounter between nature and faith will let you feel the mystical spirit of Cappadocia.
On the Edge of Imagination: Devrent Valley The last stop before lunch is Devrent Valley, also known as "Imagination Valley." This is the most surreal-looking landscape in the region, where every rock formation seems to take the shape of an animal or a figure. After this exploration, we will enjoy a delightful lunch featuring local flavors at a renowned restaurant in Goreme.
Where Earth Turns into Art: Avanos After lunch, we continue to Avanos, the center of traditional pottery art nurtured by the Red River. We will visit a family-run workshop to learn about the ancient techniques of pottery making and enjoy a live kick-wheel demonstration.
Legends and the Region’s Summit: The Three Graces & Uchisar Castle Next, we head to the symbolic fairy chimneys of Urgup "The Three Graces." After hearing the legends behind this iconic landmark, we will conclude the day at Uchisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia. From the top, you will enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the entire region and have the chance to see local arts. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
